exploring the tangential.
keeping silent meant matching pace as an act of togetherness
meditation by observing myself in relation to my pair and the city
humour and absurdity
how do you navigate the emergent ethics of collaboratiob- e.g how one person's prefeered ways or rhythms of working might inhibit or hinder another's?
fluid, silently agree on following the guidelines, unforces synchronicity, it is okay follow to understand it than to hack it together. It is okay to follow one's own pace. not imposing your rhythms on others means the other needs to find confidence to alter or break their own pace. Allow the differences
collaboration and synchronicity
different approaches with same guiding principle, a listening that does not need to be choreographed
convinced to refrain from hacking the proposal for once
-- are we really going to slow walk here?
tried the park as a place to listen -- but that proved distracting with its activity and snowpoles
any question can be acticated by walking
better if in smaller group -- group dynamic can be overwhelming
peering a particular constellation that works in its own dynamic
gives silent voices more space and time. from the synchronicity
what padding could be as a resource to ? democratize ? or allow more voices in the game
slow walking blocking passage in a small street becoming obstacle -- 'are you there to scare people?'
talk + walk crossing with each other, slow walk an activitiy that takes full attention.
what is "slow"? there is no set definition, you decide what this is together
asyncronicity is important in for example separate doing from documenting. wanting to do everything all time does not respect paces or does not recognises what things happening inhibit other things from happening.
thinking+processing information..
experiencing some friction, with one man pushing through slow walkers, while saying 'entschuldigung'. feeling entitlement in public spaces. consciousness of moving out of the way for others. who feels entitled to walk without interruption to their direction? re political meaning of walk
Walking slowly could trigger some tension in the body. thus its each individual to decide how they can experience the slow walk.
wallking slow feels like time also slows down
slow walking on the crosswalk/cycle path as an obstruction: what would happen?
different conditions of crossing the public space. different responses in 'the public space' to a black body or to a white body, or to a black and a white body walking together. avoidances and gazes are charged differently
and this practice would mean/cause different things/reactions different cities
the same practice -- walking -- puts you in a different situation on the base of different body,
